The Petroleum Authority of Uganda (PAU) announces the companies/entities/persons whose applications for qualification to be registered on the National Supplier Database for Uganda’s oil and gas sector for 2017 have been successfully verified. This announcement is in fulfilment of Regulation 176 of the Petroleum (Exploration, Development and Production) Regulation, 2016 and Regulation 30 of the Petroleum (Refining, Conversion, Transmission and Midstream Storage) (National Content) Regulations 2016 of the Republic of Uganda. These Regulations mandate the PAU to put in place and publicize a database of companies/entities/persons qualified to supply goods and services in the country’s oil and gas sector.
The International Standard Industrial Classification of All Economic Activities (ISIC) consists of a coherent and consistent classification structure of economic activities based on a set of internationally agreed concepts, definitions, principles and classification rules. It provides a comprehensive framework within which economic data can be collected and reported in a format that is designed for purposes of economic analysis, decision-taking and policy-making. The classification structure represents a standard format to organize detailed information about the state of an economy according to economic principles and perceptions.
